Please refer to the instructions on the prescription established by your medical doctor.
Beclometasone is for inhalation use only.
It is very important for the patient to take the correct dose regularly and daily to stay free of symptoms. Irregular and discontinuous administration can significantly change the results.
If patients notice that treatment with the short-acting bronchodilator is becoming less effective or if they need a higher number of inhalations, they should consult their physician.
The dose should be adapted to each patient depending on the severity of asthma:
-Adults, elderly patients and children older than 12 years:
- Initial and maintenance dose:
- Mild asthma: 1 – 2 puffs per day divided into 2 doses.
- Moderate asthma: 2 – 4 puffs per day divided into 2 doses.
- Severe asthma: 4 – 8 puffs per day divided into 2 doses.
-For children aged 6-12 years: Usually half the corresponding dose. Follow the recommendation by your medical doctor.
-For children under 6 years: Not recommended
How to use the device: Please refer to the Patient Information Leaflet provided above for detailed information.
Hand-breath co-ordination is difficult in children under 6 years, older patients and patients with severe dyspnoea. Use a spacer to facilitate administration and improve the efficacy of treatment.
